Fun badges ( or dangles ) have been part of the square dance activity for years. They are clever 'fun dares' to earn little badges to be clipped onto your name tag. They usually involve square dancing, but in a different, unique and fun way.
There are fun badges for square dancing in the swimming pool, one for dancing in an elevator, dancing in the dark, dancing with marshmallows in your mouth. Lots of laughs. There are glow stick badges, dancing blind folded, dancing while blowing bubbles, and even one for a square dancing ontop of a king-sized bed ( hopefully, it's a strong bed )
So, we started some fun badges in October with 'the mummy' dance. Which was 2 teams wrapping Tom and I from head to toe in toilet paper. Then dancing barefoot, and dancing with balloons between our legs.
If you didn't get a chance to partake in any of those events, you will soon. Then we will have more FUN BADGE DANCES.
Some dancers earn and collect enough fun dangles to wrap aroun themselves like a belt or a sash.
